Olton Grain Coop, Inc.
Fall Grain Handling Policy
Crop Year 2012

The following policies have been carefully reviewed and adopted by the Board of Directors and will be in effect for the 2012 Fall harvest.
1.  STORAGE Rate:    $0.0015 per bushel per day.  This amounts to 4.56¢ per bushel per month.

Start Storage Date:     Storage on corn will begin 30 days after the deposit of the last load on each account.  If there is a considerable difference between the average date of deposit and the last load, the average date will be used.
All corn and milo received will be considered “for storage” for your account.  All contracts must be filled before grain may be sold in the “cash market”. If you intend to sell your grain as it is delivered, you must contact Gregg Allen or Pam Odom the following morning to price your grain. “Cash market” grain may be priced 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Storage charges shall be accrued and may be assessed on July 31, 2013 on all grain remaining in open storage accounts.
2.  RECEIVING AND LOAD OUT CHARGES
Receiving:  25¢ per bushel on all grains.
Load Out:  25¢ per bushel on all grains.
The receiving and load out charge is not assessed if the grain is sold to Olton Grain Coop, Inc.  It is only assessed if you pick the grain up for your own use or sell the grain to a third party to be loaded out by Olton Grain Coop, Inc.
3.  MOISTURE DISCOUNT
Shrinkage:  The shrinkage rates are as follows:
            Corn:   Below 15.5% = NONE
                        15.6% to 23.9%   = 2% per point above 15.5%
Olton Grain Coop, Inc. reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept Corn above 24% moisture.

Milo:   Below 14.0% = NONE
                     14.1% to 15.9%  = 2% per point above 14.0%
Olton Grain Coop, Inc. reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept Milo above 16% moisture.
Each load will stand on its own.  In the event the grain is loaded out for the account of the depositor, shrinkage will be charged back to the moisture content of the grain that is loaded out.  If a warehouse receipt is issued for CCC purposes, shrinkage will be assessed to the moisture level allowed by CCC.

 5. GENERAL OPERATING POLICIES

1.      We will not average moisture for shrinkage discount. Each load must stand on its own. Shrinkage is for the account of the depositor and if the grain is loaded out for the account of the depositor, shrinkage will be charged back to the moisture level that is loaded out.

2.      The acceptable moisture level will be determined by management. We encourage you to stay in touch with us as to the permissible moisture limits each day and ask that you cooperate with us in managing the wet grain inventories.

3.      Warehouse receipts may be issued at Olton or terminal locations; our option. Grain placed in the CCC loan must have the storage prepaid through the loan maturity date.

4.      Olton Grain Coop, Inc. will unload high moisture corn only up to its daily drying capacity. We reserve the right to stop unloading trucks at any time the wet grain inventories equal the 24-hour drying capacity. We do not assume any responsibility for the safety or security of trucks or their contents left overnight whether on our property or in the streets.

5.      Corn and milo may be receipted and stored for CCC loan only to the extent that storage space is available. We reserve the right to allocate available space if it becomes necessary and to refuse to accept product if it endangers the ability to fully utilize the facilities. We will attempt to secure storage capacity at a terminal location sufficient to take care of the total need, however, this may not be possible. We cannot guarantee where your grain will be stored. If you sell terminal stored grain to Olton Grain Coop, Inc, we absorb the freight. If you sell terminal stored grain to a third party or have it loaded out for your account, you or the holder of the Warehouse Receipt, will be responsible for the paid in freight. Terminal stored grain tendered to CCC for a loan must have the freight prepaid.

6.      The hours of operation during harvest will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. as necessary. We ask that you stay in touch with us as to the closing time as we may close earlier when possible.

7.      No advances will be made for cutting and hauling expenses.

8.      All grain containing castor beans, treated seed, or other substances prohibited by FDA shall be refused without exception.
